ABOUT JACKSON

Jackson graduated from Harding University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast-journalism. Jackson grew up attending Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, TN.

At Harding, Jackson worked for various campus organizations including HU16’s “Live at Five” television newscast, KVHU 95.3FM radio, and the Harding Sports Network. He also was a resident assistant for three semesters (’19-’20) and studied abroad in Florence, Italy in the spring of 2019. Other travel included communication department trips to New York City and Los Angeles in 2020.

In April of 2020, Jackson created a podcast, “The Sports Tea with JD”, recording over 30 episodes which are featured on Apple Podcasts and Spotify including various Tennessee and Arkansas based sportscasters, coaches, NCAA athletes and athletic directors. This podcast led to his internship the summer of 2020 with WNSR Nashville Sports Radio (560AM and 95.9FM) on The George Plaster Show.

The internship led to his initial position as an Inside Sales Representative with the Preds. He was promoted in November ('21) to a full-time role as an Account Executive and sold over $2 million in less than two seasons. In early 2023, Jackson started his journey with the Tennessee Titans in the NFL as an Account Executive and transitioned in 2024 to his present day role as a Sales Consultant for the New Nissan Stadium. As of February 2025, Jackson has sold over 900 PSLs for the New Stadium, generating over $15 million in revenue for the organization.

In the summer of 2020, I interned for The George Plaster on WNSR 560AM and 95.9FM weekdays from 2-4PM CST. I was responsible for producing shows, delivering live reports, researching stories, booking guests, shooting video content, and posting to social media. Guests I booked include writers from The Athletic, CBS Sports, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Las Vegas Sun, and The Orlando Sentinel.

Selected by professors at Harding University as the College of Arts and Humanities Student of the Year (2021). I graduated in May with a 3.95 GPA. My experience goes far beyond the classroom, ranging from my time as a Resident Assistant to my 3+ years on FM radio and live TV. In 2019, I studied abroad for three months in Florence, Italy. While studying in Italy, I was an international reporter for the HU16 Live at Five newscast.

I graduated in the class of 2017 at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, TN with a 3.81 GPA. During my four years, I did play-by-play commentating for varsity boys and girls home basketball games.
